There is a new girl volunteering at the shelter. I never thought it was possible that Momoshiro was a species or a breed rather than one singular moron. But she seems to be the female variant. She's been coming every day for a week and I can't stand her. She keeps manhandling the animals and getting down and making stupid faces at them when she should be cleaning, and cross-contaminating between cats and dogs and different rooms. She also keeps asking me really uncomfortable questions.

My brother's made it into a national championship tennis tournament so I won't be around for the next two weeks. Whoever thought to put it in Okinawa is clearly out to get me. Have to cheer him on, though.

Yuuta, there are missing posters up with a dog that looks like Sneak. If you see one will you get it for me? People keep telling me about them but I haven't seen any.

Who in their right mind decided Savannah cats are a good idea? Ours has decided he prefers being walked with the dogs (wild cat my ass, he wears a leash). Oh, and that though he's 20lb he can still sit in our laps. I managed to find our Birman a home - her name is now Pearl and she lives with an elderly couple whose cat passed away two weeks ago.

If those kids don't get off the lawn - *opens the window* HEY, DAMN KIDS, GET OFF MY LAWN!

Yuuta, we've got two dogs I've never seen before. Either they've started reproducing by mitosis or our dogs are spreading the word that there's an every day buffet at our place.

Another cat has joined the ranks. She's 3 and healthy and her owners wanted to put her down because they were going abroad and couldn't find a home fast enough. It's a colourpoint, but no particular breed - if I had to put her closest to one it'd be a Birman. She'll have a good home here but she's very shy and I'd rather she not have to live with so many dogs, so if anyone's interested, it's also posted up on the surgery noticeboard.

Dog hair everywhere.

... in other news, the dog is gone. The renovations are finished in the shelter and three dogs and two cats got adopted on the day we reopened.
